Want to make a difference for animals? Join the monthly Writing for Animals group!
The aim of the group is to produce short writing that advocates for stronger protections for animals.
The facilitator will bring a brief presentation covering recent news around animal issues and plant-based food issues. If anyone brings an op-ed or other piece of short writing requests peer review, we will provide peer review and suggestions for image sources (if needed) before it is submitted for publication. Otherwise we will move directly into quiet co-writing time, where we will work on op-eds or other pieces of writing to send out for animals.
If you’re not sure what to write about, you’ll be sure to get some ideas from the news review. If you’re still stuck, we’ll also have a suggested short writing action to take, like reaching out to a company or legislator about an ongoing animal issue.
Writing for Animals meets monthly, on the last Wednesday of every month, at 6:30pm.
