This July is one of the few yearly potlucks held by the Club! The potluck will be in the CAA office at 34 13th Ave NE, Ste 108, Minneapolis MN 55407. Here are directions with additional details, if needed, on the CAA office.

You can bring a dish from the Vegan Recipe Club Archives, from any online sources like Sweet Potato Soul or Nora Cooks, or from your own kitchen!

All dishes should be vegan — no meat, dairy, egg, honey, or any other animal-derived product (no gelatin, whey, etc). Please bring a list of ingredients so that everyone with allergies, Celiac, etc, can safely eat.

If you cannot make it in person, you are welcome to join online for recipe discussion only.

The next Vegan Recipe Club potluck will be on October 20, 2026.

Vegan Recipe Club General Details

The Vegan Recipe Club is for everyone—those curious about vegan cooking and those more experienced with it. The club explores plant-based recipes created by cooks of varying cultures and nationalities and cookbooks are suitable for the novice to experienced cook.

This club aims to feature recipes that are great tasting and support the health of participants. It’s a great way to explore great new recipes, work out issues in different recipes, and to build community with others interested in vegan cooking. Best of all, these meals also help the animals and the environment!

How does it work?

In the month prior to the Vegan Recipe Club meeting, you can download the recipes for free. You can also request the entire cookbook from your local library. Try making one or more of the recipes, then come to share and discuss what you thought about them with the group.

This July, you can come in person to the potluck! and bring a vegan dish of your choice to share, or you can join only online for the discussion portion.

The group is facilitated by volunteer Henry Patterson of Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA). If you have questions about the recipes or the Vegan Recipe Club between meetings, email info@exploreveg.org.

Join us online!

The club meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings are held via Zoom, with occasional in-person potlucks, including this July! The potluck will be held in conjunction with the meeting. It will be in our new CAA office space which is in Ste. 108 at 34 13th Ave. NE, Minneapolis, 55113.
