Compassionate Action for Animals wants to celebrate with you! Join us for a relaxing afternoon of vegan food and fun with neighbors, family and friends. All are welcome. Find us at the picnic shelter at Wabun Picnic Shelter B at Minnehaha Regional Park. The potluck will be held rain or shine.
What to Bring

A muffin tin of different foods at a past holiday potluck.
Here’s what you can bring:
- If your last name begins with A-G: side dish or salad
- If your last name begins with H-S: hearty main dish
- If your last name begins with T-Z: beverage or dessert
(If you have a super-special family recipe you’d like to share with the group, don’t sweat the categories above too much — bring your best!)
Please also bring:
- A list of ingredients for your dish. (We’ll have paper and tape available if you forget — be sure to know exactly what is in your dish so everyone with allergies can safely eat.)
- A serving utensil for your dish.
- Your own plates, cups, and silverware to save on waste! We will have single-use items available if you forget.
- Friends and family! Feel free to invite your friends and family, regardless of if they are omnivore, vegan, or vegetarian.
Where is this event?
The Park: Minnehaha Regional Park — better known as Minnehaha Falls — is located at 4801 S Minnehaha Drive, Minneapolis MN 55417.
The Shelter: Wabun B shelter is one of two shelters next to the wading pool in the park. If you come along Godfrey Pkwy and then turn onto 46th Ave into the park, take the first left and you will soon arrive very near the picnic shelter. You can find a map of Minnehaha Regional Park with the picnic shelters labeled here. The street address for the Wabun Picnic Area specifically is 4655 46th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55417.
Signage: We’ll have a CAA sign up at the shelter. We aren’t allowed to set up signage or chalk outside of our event area. Look at the signage on shelters and check the above descriptions to know where to find us.
Parking: There are pay parking lots, free parking lots, and metered streets available in various areas around the park. While we don’t know of any bike racks nearby, people who bike are welcome to keep their bikes near and/or locked to the picnic shelter.
