All are warmly welcome.  \nKung Pao Cola Tofu — Fried tofu in a seasoned savory sauce with fresh herbs and rice! \n❗RSVP at the bottom of this page ❗ \n📍 Where: Golden Chow Mein\, 1105 7th St W\, Saint Paul\, 55102  \n🕖 When: Wednesday\, August 26\, 6:30-7:30pm  \n💬 Space limited. RSVP soon. The RSVP form is at the bottom of this page. \nWe’re getting together. YOU’RE invited!  \nGolden Chow Mein is in this year’s Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge! They have an incredible dish entered in the competition that we’re holding a dine-out to try. We’ll also take a simple optional action together at the event to help animals\, like calling our reps or signing a petition. After that\, we’ll rate the food\, and your rating will help us see how it stacks up against the many other restaurants in the competition! \n🍜 What’s the food? \nWe’ll all be trying out their 2026 Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge dish. This year\, the chef is serving up a delicious boiled\, seasoned\, and fried tofu tossed in a kung pao cola sauce with peanuts and fermented black beans. Served with fragrant rice and fresh herbs.  \nThe award-winning Golden Chow Mein has been serving up Cantonese food in Saint Paul for years! \n👨🏾‍🍳 What is the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge?  \nEach August\, restaurants around the Twin Cities add a new vegan dish to the menu. Diners visit restaurants and rate each dish they try. These ratings will be used to determine the winners!  \nWe’ll crown the winning chef at a ceremony on Sunday\, September 20\, at Twin Cities Veg Fest at Harriet Island Park in Saint Paul.  \nWho is competing this year? \nYou can see the full list of competing restaurants here! \n🤝 Why come? \n\nMeet awesome new people from all walks of life\nEnjoy great conversation over tasty food\nMake change for animals\nHelp determine the best challenge dish of the year \nGet a chance to win gift cards when you rate your dish or post about it\nPerfect event for those who want to learn more about vegan food\n\n⭐ Who puts on this event? \nCompassionate Action for Animals is a Minnesota nonprofit organization working to create an animal-friendly culture throughout our state and offer support for compassionate choices.
