Join us for a meaningful afternoon as we shape our communial vision for the installation of a new public mural in the Twin Cities!
On April 26 at 1:00 PM, Compassionate Action for Animals will host an interactive information and listening session in the private event space at Dreamstate Café. This event is an opportunity to learn more about the mural project (including the proposed site and potential artists), while also helping guide its direction.
What Is the Mural Project?
Led by CAA board member, Julie Knopp, and with support from CAA staff, a group of volunteers is working towards the goal of a large-scale public work of art. This exciting initiative will bring public art in the form of a mural to the Twin Cities community and inspire compassion for all animals!
Imagine walking down a street in the Twin Cities and seeing a vibrant mural that asks: What if every animal deserves kindness, no matter their species?
This is the vision behind the “Minnesota Mural for Animals:” a large-scale public art installation. This powerful mural will open hearts, spark conversations, and inspire compassion for all species — whether companion animals, wildlife, or those suffering inside the windowless walls of factory farms.
With your help, we can create a public art piece that reaches thousands each day with a critical invitation to expand their circle of compassion.

Together, we’ll explore how the space can become not only a powerful visual statement, but also a place for connection and action. At this event, you’ll find out more about the project and have a chance to share your ideas too.
What to Expect at the Event
Join us at the wonderful Dreamstate Cafe in Minneapolis! Feel free to order food and beverages from Dreamstate’s menu — all purchases are on your own. We will gather in their newly updated private back room where you’ll hear from committee members on the mural project. Then, we want to hear from you! You’ll have an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas to help us move this project forward.
