Join us on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 6:30pm for our monthly West Suburbs Vegan Potluck at the Base Camp coffee shop area of Unmapped Brewing Co. in Minnetonka. Let’s enjoy a fun, plant-based gathering together!
Whether you’re a long-time vegan or just curious about plant-based food, you’re welcome to attend! This friendly, low-pressure event is the perfect place to try new dishes, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the community.
How It Works
Please bring a fully plant-based dish to share. That means no meat, dairy, eggs, fish, or butter. Don’t forget to include a list of ingredients for your dish, and if you can, bring your own plate and utensils to help reduce waste.
Sites for Ideas and Inspiration
Need inspiration? There are so many delicious alternatives available. CAA has a collection of plant-based recipes on our website. You can also check out easy vegan potluck ideas from sites like Insanely Good Recipes, The Edgy Vegan, and The Vegan Atlas. CAA also has monthly cooking classes and the Vegan Recipe Club which can support you in getting ideas for future potlucks.
A Monthly Event You Won’t Want to Miss
Our West Suburbs Vegan Potluck happens every month, bringing together community members who care about food, health, animals, and the planet. It’s a warm, welcoming space to swap recipes, share cooking tips, and enjoy an evening filled with great conversation and even better food.

Good for Animals, the Earth, and Your Health
Choosing plant-based meals helps reduce harm to animals, but that’s not all. It also lowers your carbon footprint, conserves water, and supports a more sustainable food system. Plus, eating more fruits, veggies, legumes, and whole grains is linked to better heart health, lower cholesterol, and a reduced risk of chronic illness. By joining our potluck and eating more plant-based meals, you’re doing something good for yourself and the world around you.
Hosted by Compassionate Action for Animals
This event was developed and is hosted by Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) volunteer Nicola Philpott. We get use of the space from the generous folks at Unmapped Brewing. It has become a regular CAA event, offering a great selection of tasty foods.
CAA is a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to encouraging people to embrace their empathy for animals and move toward a plant-based diet.
